Regular power washing and disinfecting of your horse trailer is essential for protecting your horse’s health and extending the life of your equipment. Trailers quickly accumulate manure, urine, dirt, dust, and moisture, all of which create an ideal environment for bacteria, fungi, and parasites to thrive. Without routine cleaning, harmful pathogens can build up and increase the risk of respiratory infections, skin conditions, hoof problems, and the spread of contagious diseases between horses. Power washing removes embedded debris and corrosive materials that can damage flooring and metal components, while proper disinfecting helps eliminate lingering germs that ordinary rinsing won’t kill. Keeping your trailer clean not only promotes a safer, healthier environment for your horse but also preserves the trailer’s structural integrity, improves air quality during transport, and maintains its resale value over time.

Q: What do i need to do to prep my trailer before washing?
A: We ask clients to remove all hay nets, buckets, and bedding from the trailer to prepare for your wash. It is advised to also clear out tack rooms/dressing rooms as much as possible in case there is any seal leakage around doors or windows that owners may not be aware of.
Q: Do you move the mats when you wash?
A: Mats can absolutely be moved during a wash, but is not included in standard pricing. The standard interior trailer wash is so thorough and powerful that 85% of what is under mats in a trailer is typically washed/pushed out at the time. However, for an additional fee-dependent on trailer size-mats can be removed. Advanced notice is required.
Q: Is the acid washing included in an exterior wash?
A: Acid washing is performed on an as needed basis, if trailers fit the necessary criteria. That criteria includes, but is not limited to: dull finishes, and intense dirt embedded into the exterior. Relatively shiny, well maintained trailers are alternatively washed with an aluminium cleaner.
Q: Is roof washing included or extra?
A: Roof washing is an additional cost to the base exterior wash pricing. Roof washing is recommended particularly if you park your trailers under tree covered areas where debris and pollen build up on the roof where you cannot see. Advance notice for roof washing is also required.
